Having founded his career in the carpentry trade and continued his development with a Bachelor of Building and Construction Management, Joel’s knowledge and understanding of the industry is second to none. His management techniques are an asset to all projects in both a practical and theoretical sense, and his holistic understanding of all project types makes him a strong leader of the Skelcon team.
Prior to founding Skelcon, Joel worked for some of Newcastle’s premier building companies and was inspired to develop Skelcon around the core values of honesty and transparency. As a result, Skelcon offers an alternative and superior method of project delivery to clients, resulting in greater value and investment return.

Nina is an accomplished interior designer specialising in sophisticated commercial environments that balance creativity, functionality, and brand identity. With over a decade of experience in the design and construction industry, she brings a meticulous understanding of spatial planning, compliance, and emerging design trends.
Holding a Diploma of Interior Design and a Bachelor of Communications, Nina combines design intuition with strong storytelling. Crafting spaces that not only perform beautifully but communicate a clear narrative of purpose and personality.
Joining Skelcon in September 2025, Nina is passionate about shaping the next generation of workplace and commercial interiors and strengthening the studio’s reputation for design excellence and innovation.
Alyson joined Skelcon in March 2025, bringing four years of industry experience and a strong passion for drafting and design. Since joining the team, she has transitioned into a Design Assistant role, working closely alongside the design team across a range of commercial projects.
One of her career highlights so far has been contributing to the Animal Referral & Emergency Centre project, where she had the opportunity to be involved in a large scale, high-end fit-out and see the project come to life from concept through to completion.

James is a highly qualified and experienced Project Manager with over 13 years in the Construction Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Construction Management, Certificate III in Carpentry & Certificate IV in Building & Construction. James has been an integral member of the Skelcon team since November 2019, where he started as a Junior Project Manager and has since progressed into a Project Manager role.
During his time at Skelcon, James has achieved remarkable success, including the Handover of Mount Pleasant Winery and winning Master Builders Awards for Tallowood Lifestyle village and Mount Pleasant Winery. With his excellent project management skills, James is dedicated to producing high-quality and efficient projects for clients.

Meet Pat, an experienced Project Manager with over 20 years of expertise in the construction industry. Pat holds Cert III qualifications in both Wood Machinist and Carpentry trades and has spent the last 10 years managing construction sites. Pat has been a part of the Skelcon team for six years, having started as a Sub Contract Site Manager and working his way up to the position of Project Manager.
One of Pat's greatest achievements during his time at Skelcon was winning the MBA award in the first project he simultaneously Site Managed and Project Managed, the Indulgences project. Pat's dedication to his work and his ability to solve problems through his extensive experience and research have been invaluable to the Skelcon team.

Tynatia is a valued member of the administration team at Skelcon, where she currently holds the position of Office Manager. With 12 years of office experience, Tynatia joined the Skelcon team in January 2019 and has since become an integral part of the company's success.
Throughout her time at Skelcon, Tynatia has proven her adaptability and versatility by taking on a range of responsibilities, including reception duties, accounting tasks, payroll, data entry, social media management, vehicle coordination, apprenticeship coordination, and organising social events. With a Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma of Chartered Accounting, Liam brings a wealth of knowledge from his 9 years of experience in public practice and 6 years in commercial roles. Having recently joined the Skelcon team, Liam is excited to be part of such a dynamic team.
Liam is a proud spreadsheet aficionado and dad-joke enthusiast (you could say he excels at them…), bringing a unique flair to the team. He has extensive experience in taxation and reporting across South-East Asia, including Indonesia, Singapore, India and Malaysia, making him an invaluable asset to Skelcon. Liam also has a deep understanding of payroll award interpretation and application.

Damien brings 30 years of experience in the construction industry. With a Diploma in Building and Construction, Damien is a Site Manager within our team, and has been an invaluable member of Skelcon for the past 7 years, starting in March 2016.
During his time at Skelcon, Damien has worked on a variety of projects, starting with smaller projects and now taking on major projects for the company. His dedication and expertise have earned him the recognition of his peers, including the Best Commercial Project Under $10 million award at the 2022 Newcastle MBA Awards.

Joining Skelcon as a labourer in 2018, Sam’s hard work and drive led him to be signed on as a Carpentry Apprentice within his first six months. By his third year of working with Skelcon he had begun managing smaller projects. Today, he supervises larger projects and provides valuable leadership and expertise to the team.
