DeliveredbyourDesignandConstructionteamsover9months,thisprojectreimaginedapreviouslyvacantgroundfloorintoavibrant,multi-purposespacecombiningeducation,work,andsocialconnection.
What was once a vacant ground floor has been transformed into a vibrant, multi-purpose environment combining education, work and social connection. The design revitalises the façade with new openings, a refreshed awning and an accessible entry ramp, while the interior features open plan work areas, offices, focus rooms, a boardroom, and a function space complete with a bar, catering kitchen and connected courtyard. The courtyard, created by removing a section of the roof, introduces natural light and ventilation to the heart of the space.
A standout element is the mural series by local artist Daniel Joyce, commissioned by MBA as a visual timeline of the organisation’s journey. Paired with reclaimed brick and modern, natural finishes, the space celebrates Newcastle MBA’s heritage while looking confidently to the future.
