Skelcon is proud to present the completion of the Animal Referral & Emergency Centre (AREC) in Broadmeadow, a purpose built veterinary hospital delivered by our Construction and Joinery teams.
Working alongside Therian and Catalyst Project Management, this project transformed a large existing shell into a fully equipped, specialist veterinary facility designed to support emergency, surgical and referral based care.
The layout includes eight consult rooms, dedicated dog and cat waiting areas, pharmacy, treatment and prep spaces, multiple wards including ICU, isolation, exotic and cat wards, CT and X ray rooms, two surgery suites, physio with an underwater treadmill, offices, staff amenities, quiet rooms and external parking.
With specialised medical equipment throughout, this project required careful planning and coordination in every space. Seeing it all come together was a great result for the team.
This project was a pleasure to deliver and now provides the Newcastle and Hunter community with a first class emergency and referral veterinary facility.
